Trust me, this little pendant barrel has never seen a drop of wine, and do not have a smell, except plasticy to it. The pictures show them larger than they are. use your measuring tape! Cute little barrel pendant light. Note that ALL the light from this "barrel" will be shown directly down, as a spotlight on the table, counter area, or floor. This is not a light to be used as a room light, it's an accent light. If you have a wine, nautical, beer, whiskey, even steampunk theme to your room...then this will blend in and "tie it together". I bought this just so people would comment on the look. It serves our business as simply a decorative function, a conversation piece at most.
